## Dataset licence declaration

The frozen UCI dataset-page snapshot identifies **Appliances Energy Prediction**
as licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (`CC BY 4.0`).
The same snapshot says that permission was obtained from Reliable Prognosis to
distribute the included 4.5 months of weather data.

The downloaded ZIP contains only `energydata_complete.csv`; it contains no
licence file. For that reason, the project retains the external UCI page snapshot
and the official Creative Commons legal-code snapshot alongside the package.
The external page declaration, the archive contents, and the legal text remain
separate evidence roles.

The project has not modified the archived member. Extraction creates an exact
copy whose SHA-256 matches the ZIP member. Any future transformed output must
identify that changes were made and must not imply endorsement by UCI, the
dataset creator, Reliable Prognosis, or the paper authors.
