Data sources

This page identifies the primary sources behind the evidence-bearing pages in the current public site, and separates source records from LFR-derived observations.

What this register covers

This is a register of sources that have a current public carrier on this website. It is not a catalogue of every dataset LFR could analyse, and a source listed here does not give every page authority to speak from it. The relevant page or report must identify its own source, observation window, method, and claim boundary.

Public records can be delayed, revised, incomplete, unavailable, or affected by reporting conventions and schema changes. Source inclusion does not imply that the provider or dataset authors endorse LFR or its derived work.

Current battery case: QTZL

Recorded trace dataset
Joaquín de la Vega Hernández, Juan Antonio Ortega Redondo and Jordi-Roger Riba Ruiz, Lithium-ion battery pack cycling dataset with CC-CV charging and WLTP/constant discharge profiles, CORA.Repositori de Dades de Recerca, V3, DOI 10.34810/data2395. The dataset is made available under CC BY 4.0.
Acquisition context
The associated Scientific Data paper documents the authors’ experimental and data-collection context.
LFR-derived work
The response-organisation metrics, matched-face comparisons, destructive nulls, verdicts, and wording boundaries are LFR analyses. They are not findings made or endorsed by the dataset authors. The current public carriers are QTZL Case 01 and its full evidence report; each carries its own source and claim bindings.

Current GB grid research carrier

The GB Grid power-flow field is a research demo that replays locally assembled public-data packets. Its current visual carrier uses:

NESO public data
Demand, embedded generation, storage-pumping, Scottish transfer, and interconnector fields used in the half-hour organisation projection. Source access and licensing are described by the NESO Data Portal, API guidance, and NESO Open Licence.
National Grid public route information
A simplified geographic reference derived from public network route maps. It is not an operational topology, engineering drawing, or safety-clearance map.
Carbon Intensity public data
A regional contextual tint from the Carbon Intensity API. It is not a complete model of generation, dispatch, transmission, or local asset operation.

The demo is a system-level projection, not electromagnetic field imaging, a grid-stability assessment, a reliability forecast, or a control instruction.

GB balancing and institutional source lenses

The Grid method page describes the observational capability of Elexon / BMRS records, declarations, metering, service records, REMIT disclosures, and public project registries. It is a source-capability map, not a statement that every named lens underpins a currently released observation.

The public build contains aggregated Elexon / BMRS research packets and excludes named-BM-Unit datasets. Relevant source and reuse information is available from the Elexon Insights Solution, Elexon API Developer Portal, and the BMRS open data licence.

Derived outputs

LFR may transform source records into derived fields, visualisations, reports, and bounded observations. A reproducible transformation preserves custody and method; it does not by itself establish that an interpretation is physically supported. Derived outputs must be read with the page-specific method, nulls, release status, and claim boundary.

Attribution statements

Where a current carrier uses the following source, its applicable attribution is:

Source-specific terms

Third-party data remains subject to its provider’s terms, licences, attribution requirements, and availability. LFR’s site presentation and derived work do not replace those terms or relicense the underlying source data.
