What to ask before renewal or underwriting
Public lenses can show how the externally visible role of an asset has changed. They cannot establish asset condition or produce an underwriting decision.
Has the public operating role changed?
Compare accepted-action cadence, direction switching, quiet gaps, visible volume, and role persistence with the period understood at inception or prior renewal.
Do declarations and metering align?
Test MEL/MIL, PN/FPN, B1610, accepted actions, and REMIT at their separate maturity horizons.
What does the public record leave unresolved?
Separate disclosed unavailability, metered absence, market absence, and a lack of public evidence. Do not treat them as one state.
Which dependencies are shared?
Ask whether assets share owner, optimiser, OEM, EPC, geography, connection context, maintenance model, or public role.
Minimum owner evidence
BMS and PCS event logs, thermal history, throughput, availability and outage records, maintenance history, warranty constraints, optimiser instructions, service contracts, and identity mapping for the scoped window.
